• No spam or advertising. Sure, you can recommend great sites / services / products you like, but people who sign up to spam will have their accounts and ISP blocked.
• No offensive language or abuse. I dislike the schoolyard mentality that is so prevalent on the Internet. This is not a school yard, anything does not go. You will be polite to all other posters on the forum and treat everyone with respect. Use of offensive language is not acceptable.
• No racism, sexism, threats or violence. They will get you banned from this web site. I am in charge of banning web site abusers from government web sites from a living, so not only do I have experience in banning user accounts and their IP addresses I also have built up relationships with many Internet Service Providers and law enforcement organisations which will allow me to have people's Internet access canceled for misuse or disobeying Terms of Service. I can also arrange for warrants to be taken out to have people charged for criminal offenses if they occur. I do not tolerate racism, bigotry or threatening behavior.
• No flame wars. If you disagree with some one's opinion then restrain your discussion to arguing the point, not the person. Start your post like "I disagree with your opinion / point because.."
• Don't troll. If I see people posting provocative posts just for the hell of it or being abusive to people I will ban you. Controversial is fine, thought provoking is fine, but posts intended to provoke people is not.
• No personal battles. If you dislike someone don't bring it out on the forum. Either be polite or avoid posting in threads they are involved in.
• Play nice with newbies. Understand that some people will be new to car living and will have questions that you may consider to be common knowledge. Don't be rude to people based on their apparent lack of knowledge. Everyone needs to start somewhere.
• Play nice with other nationalities. This is an international web site and forum. Don't treat people like they are stupid if they don't know what a word means or do not use the same language as you.
• No offensive / objectionable off topic posts. This is a forum about car living, not religion, gun control or politics. I realise those subjects may come up but I reserve the right to delete threads that cause arguments. Nope, there's no freedom of speech here so don't get on your high horse about it. At the same time I will not needlessly delete stuff and will tolerate some leeway. If no one objects, the post can stay.
• Act your age and be responsible. Finally we're all adults here. I don't want to be spending my time moderating this forum. If you can't behave intelligently and politely and persist in being a pain Ill just block your account and notify your ISP.
• I welcome suggestions for additional forums or information to be added to this site. I don't have regular Internet access though, so please allow time for them to be added.
